About Us.

At your appointment(s) we will evaluate how your systemic health affects your oral health. Then, we integrate both traditional and alternative dental treatments to improve your well-being both systemically and orally. If dental or gingival therapies are needed, we only use the most biocompatible materials available to minimize your exposure to any toxins that have the potential to cause systemic complications. We can accomplish this by offering metal-free, mercury-free, BPA-free, and fluoride-free alternatives to today’s more traditional dental treatments. As an extra measure, we offer biocompatibility testing, attempting to identify the safest choice for each person, before placing any materials.

Our utmost goal is to provide the highest quality dental care treating causes, not symptoms. All the while, offering meticulous, uncompromising, state-of-the-art dental care with a commitment to quality and beauty. If you are looking for a dental team who will listen to your needs and provide care to meet your family’s oral health needs and values, contact Denver Dentistry to schedule your appointment with us today!

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patient in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.” Thomas Edison

At Denver Dentistry we invite you to take part in a different kind of dental experience. We spend time listening to you – your concerns, preferences, ideas, and questions, and trust that ultimately, you are in charge of your body and your treatment. We work closely with our patients, educating them and creating custom treatment plans that fits their specific needs and values. Only by fully understanding your personal situation and treatment options, can you choose how to proceed with care, directing us as you believe is best. Utilizing specialized testing and diagnostic tools, we develop an individualized treatment plan to address our patient’s individual needs.

Our highly trained team practices functional dentistry from a holistic standpoint, carefully analyzing your system as a whole instead of a collection of different body parts.

Meet the Providers

Dr. Guy Grabiak

Dr. Guy Grabiak DMD, FAGD

Why did one dentist choose functional dentistry? Perhaps, functional dentistry chose the dentist. While many of my pre-dental classmates majored in chemistry, math, and physics, I studied kinesiology, the study of muscle movement. Throughout my career, I have been blessed to study with some of the leaders and greatest minds in organized dentistry, but I intuitively realized there was a better way to achieve health. The last mercury amalgam filling I placed was while still in the United States Air Force over 20 years ago. I realized that there were alternatives to fluoride.

Over time I noticed the gradual decline of our culture’s health, despite advances in modern medicine. This is due in part to western medicines’ lack of understanding of the complexities of how the mind, body, and spirit integrate. We were too quick to prescribe antibiotics and narcotic pain medications rather than treating the root cause of the disease. My extensive studies of oral and systemic health led me to the belief that under optimal conditions, our bodies are designed to heal themselves.

I am committed to always seek the safest, minimally invasive, least toxic way to accomplish the goals of modern dentistry. I believe the theory of biological dentistry can inform and intersect with all topics of conversation in health care, as the well-being of the mouth is an integral part of the health of the whole person.

The foundation of providing safe and personalized holistic care begins by getting to know you and your goals for your oral health and overall health, both short term and long term. Dr. Grabiak will then learn about your family’s dental and medical history, along with your dental and medical history. Afterwards, we begin your exam by taking a sample of your saliva (Sillha), checking for seven different biomarkers. That same day, we will send you home with a report showing how you scored in those different biomarker categories.

The head and neck examination is often overlooked by busy clinicians but it is as crucial as an element of the oral cancer examination. Dr. Grabiak begins his exam outside of the mouth by starting with a soft tissue check of the neck and the jaw. A thorough head and neck examination is essential for detecting early skin cancers, any overdeveloped jaw muscles that may be contributing towards bruxism, and enlarged lymph nodes that may indicate an active virus or infection.

After the extraoral exam, Dr. Grabiak begins his extensive intraoral exam. During Dr. Grabiak’s exam he is evaluating the teeth, uvula, mucosal tissues, tongue, floor of the mouth, hard and soft palate, and the oropharynx. Part of this exam includes taking high-definition photos of the mouth, all at different angles so you can see exactly what he is seeing. Our hygienist will then come in and complete a comprehensive periodontal assessment. In some cases, Dr. Grabiak and your hygienist may recommend additional testing to get to the root cause of the evidence of symptoms they are seeing in your mouth. This entire process takes roughly an hour. In some cases, depending on what Dr. Grabiak and your hygienist had found during their exam we will invite you back for a follow-up appointment called review of findings.

In preparation for the review of findings, Dr. Grabiak and your hygienist will take the time to evaluate all of the data that was collected from your examination and testing to determine your specific needs. At your review of findings appointment Dr. Grabiak will sit down with you one on one to review the data that was collected from your appointment, along with any recommendations. This allows you the time to ask Dr. Grabiak any questions that you may have about your treatment recommendations and expectations from treatment.
