When it comes to choosing a dentist, you want someone with the proper credentials, education, and experience. Most importantly, choose a dentist who makes you feel comfortable. We know that dental work can be intimidating, which is why we try to go the extra mile to make our patients feel at home in our office.

How is Our Office Different?

General dentists typically focus on a single element of a smile that the patient preserves as unpleasant. In many cases addressing only a single element will not provide the results the patient desires. Dr. Grabiak’s specialized training and experience has taught him to look at the entire complex — the lips, gums, teeth, bite, face, personality type, hair, skin tone, and more. Dr. Grabiak takes the time to examine the smile and analyze the length of the teeth, how the teeth line up with other facial features, gum-to-lip distance, and other characteristics.

While it’s important for dentists to listen to their patients to understand what is desired, it’s equally imperative for the patient to engage with Dr. Grabiak and the team to understand what procedures are being suggested and what they entail. It’s this attention to dental details that can create a beautiful smile — and great results.

What to Expect?

We can help you achieve the smile you’ve always wanted. The first step is to look at your smile and determine what you want to change. It's best to arrive with your own wishlist.

Your smile design examination with Dr. Grabiak will be both comprehensive and aesthetic. The conventional part of the consultation will be a physical examination of your teeth, gums, and bite, intra and extraoral photos, and the taking and evaluation of x-rays. The aesthetic part of the consultation will be more subjective, and this is where you can discuss with Dr. Grabiak your likes, dislikes, and goals.

Dr. Grabiak utilizes computer generated imaging to help you visualize what your teeth can look like after veneers or other cosmetic restoration. This imaging gives you the flexibility to change your mind about almost anything. After the treatmentplan has been created, Dr. Grabiak orders the lab to fabricate models of your mouth and build mock-ups out of wax or resin to give you a three–dimensional view of your new smile.

A provisional restoration is another tool we use to give the patient a trial period before the final work is done. The first restoration (made from the previously approved mock–up) lets you see how the final restorations will look and feel in your mouth, and how they might affect your gums, your speech, and biting function. Dr. Grabiak can make any necessary adjustments before the final restoration is completed. The temporary restoration should look and feel very much like your new smile.

What Types of Materials are Used for Veneers?

There are multiple options for the materials used when designing veneers. After listening to your goals and desires for your smile, Dr. Grabiak will help you determine which material will best achieve your goals and is most biocompatible for your needs.

You can rest assured that the material you and Dr. Grabiak choose for your smile makeover will be durable, have a beautiful natural color and esthetics, and when well cared for, can last for many years to come.
