We’re pleased to inform you that due to the expiring COVID-19 Executive Order put in place by Gov. Polis, we can now resume with in-office treatment! Our holistic approach to dentistry without fail is comprehensive. As always, improving your health is our mission and Denver Dentistry strives to make infection prevention our top priority. We are equipped to follow the Standard Precautions and other infection control recommendations made by the CDC, OSHA, WHO and other governing agencies. Due to the COVID-19 virus, you will notice changes we have made to further decrease the risk of transmission among patients and staff members.
- Upon arriving to your appointment, we request you call us from your car prior to coming into the building (303) 988-6118. Our office staff will meet you at your vehicle to complete screening, check your temporal temperature, and escort you into the building. Your escort will wear proper personal protective equipment and open doors for you, to limit touching of surfaces. When invited into our office, we request if possible to come alone. This ensures we do not have multiple patients in the reception area. Until further notice, our reception area will not be used.
- Our staff is committed to utilizing personal protective equipment at or above the recommended guidelines. As well as emphasizing proper and frequent hand hygiene.
- Our office and patient treatment rooms are routinely sanitized with an EPA registered disinfectant that has been qualified for use against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19. OPTIM 1 is one of the fastest and most effective cleaners & intermediate level disinfectants. It is listed as a category IV, the EPA’s lowest toxicity category.
- We also do our best to minimize the amount of aerosols in the office. Prior to any appointment that has the potential to produce aerosols a preprocedural mouthrinse containing an oxidative agent, 1% hydrogen peroxide is recommended for reducing the salivary load of oral microbes, including COVID-19. During the procedure our staff utilizes other dental equipment to reduce the amount of aerosols in the air including DentAirVac oral aerosol evacuation, iZOLATION dryfield isolation system, placement of rubber dams, and high volume evacuators.
Denver Dentistry is committed to our patients. We promise to be proactive, cautious, focused, and follow the recommendations issued by the local health authorities and the recommendations of regional dental councils. The procedures outlined are obviously subject to change, as the clinical situation evolves. However, these are undoubtedly practical cornerstones to help ensure we provide a safe environment for our patients and staff. We firmly believe by taking these extraordinary precautions, our office assists in slowing the spread of COVID-19 and “flattening the curve” by following sound scientific advice. In turn, it will help limit infections and slow down the spread of the virus. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate contacting our practice. A member of our staff will answer any questions you may have in regards to our infection control policy. Your health, comfort, and safety is our utmost concern!
